We’re a New Zealand family. SunJara began the way a lot of small things begin - quietly, at home, because we needed something the shelves couldn’t give us.

We didn't set out to build a brand. We set out to make something we trusted, something we'd put on our own children, carry in our own packs, reach for whenever a moment called for it. It began at our kitchen bench in Aotearoa. Our children's sensitive skin meant reading every label twice and nothing on the shelf held up. So we stopped looking and started making. That first formula became Rescue Gel - naturally derived, botanical, multifunctional, built to do the work of several products at once.

We refined our formula for eleven years on ourselves, our children and the friends who kept asking for more. For a while we made it in small batches and sold it locally, then life moved on and it was set aside. But the requests never stopped, friends and family were still asking - "do you have any Rescue Gel made up? We're happy to buy it from you."

That persistence told us the market simply didn't offer anything like it.

We have returned to what we started at that kitchen bench 11 years ago. Rescue Gel has one job to do - to work... and it does, without the use of any chemical nasties found is so many products.

Rescue Gel is the first thing we're sharing with you - the product at the heart of SunJara, made for the small moments that arrive without warning: bumps, bruises, scrapes, insect bites, sun-exposed skin. No fillers, nothing there by accident. Easy to throw into any pack or kit, gentle enough for daily use.

We're not a big brand with a big budget - just a family who made something that worked, shared it with the people we loved and decided the world deserved it too.
